Quinnipiac traveled to Niagara on Saturday looking to close the gap between first and second place. The Bobcats could not afford to drop a game to the last-place Purple Eagles with only a few conference games left.

Antoine Mason hit two foul shots to put Niagara up 88-87 with two seconds left, and a disappointing loss looked to be staring the Bobcats in the face.

Well, that was the case until Umar Shannon found the ball in his hands following a full-court pass, and drained a long 3-pointer to win the game.

Quinnipiac has now won seven in a row and has two games remaining in league play.
