In a judgement handed down by Lord Justice Leggatt and Justice Dingemans in the Royal Courts of Justice in London, the Indian government’s appeal was stayed for it to provide further “assurances” to the court....

The kangaroos were rescued from the Feldman Ecopark on the outskirts of Kharkiv, where their enclosures were repeatedly shelled by Russian forces, the park said in a Facebook post. The viral video, taken by the Ecopark and shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine on Twitter, shows the kangaroos stood on a bed of hay in the van as they flee the city. One of the kangaroos can be seen peering out the back window of the van as they are driven to safety....
Russia declared a one-day ceasefire in Mariupol. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said thousands are buried in ruins across the city and over 90 percent of the city’s buildings are destroyed. The Pentagon believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is being misled or “not fully” informed by his military advisers of the situation in Ukraine. President Joe Biden said Putin may have put some of his advisors on house arrest. Zelensky said Ukraine is bracing for a new Russian offensive in the east....
The country reported 22,415 new cases and 546 deaths in the past 24 hours, blaming the devastating high numbers of cases on the low vaccination rate of 15 percent of the country. “There are just two ways — vaccination or lockdown. I’m against the lockdown for the sake of (the) economy,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The Ukrainian government instituted restrictions on Thursday, requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to board trains, planes, and long-distance buses, as well as limiting access to public places....
