The country has just held its first international, military tech drone hackathon in Ukraine, during which 30 teams worked over three days to build homemade drones. The three-day event, held in Kyiv, ended on August 28. “It gathered 150 participants and top Ukrainian and international technology experts. The main goal of the event is to find new digital solutions that will help raise the development of drone production and technical support in Ukraine to a high level....

UTG said in a Facebook post that 87 Russian troops were killed on Saturday, and these Russian items were also knocked out of commission: 52 artillery tractors, five mortars, two ammunition depots, one tank, one unmanned aerial vehicle and one special equipment unit. The British Ministry of Defense on Monday announced that it will send a “squadron” of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine as part of a package of “significant combat power to accelerate Ukrainian success.” Though Seely said that the new tanks are important, more military assistance needs to be provided to Ukraine by the West to ensure stability in Europe and the world. “Sending 14 Challenger tanks is important & shows the #UK’s leadership; Ukraine needs 300+ tanks & 500+ infantry vehicles to win,” Seely tweeted....

Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry published a letter Monday calling for Russia’s removal from the U.N., as well as revoking its permanent member status on the U.N.
